It amazes me how so many people fall for these chain posts and urban legends on Facebook, Twitter and the such like
I know that the share and the repost buttons are very easy to press, and you might think you are doing the right or more often than not, the cool thing to do by doing so. But how difficult is it to quickly check on Google etc. first.
So have you fallen for any of them ? |

No!! They drive me mad. Nearly every body I know has 'known' someone who's kids have nearly been abducted in a shopping centre, have been watched by dog snatchers whilst out walking their dogs, have had horses stolen from a field and god knows what else!
A friend of a friend works at Scotland Yard and after one of these incidents was all over Facebook happened near her she was worried and he checked it out and said it was all made up! |

They drive me mad! As Hottie said, everyone has suddenly known someone who's kid/dog has gone missing, or has had that piece of paper on thier rear window, or driven down a country lane with an unmarked police car telling them to pull over
I'm surprised I've any friends still alive by some of the things I've seen posted.

"I'm not on Facebook but keep getting them emailed to me from friends. It amazes me how so many people believe all these stories. It's scaremongering. "
People just love a good story, and if they think they are doing some good by pass it on they will. But why do not people think "hmmm should I check this out first?"
Especailly these days I think people do need to check a lot more before sharing, reposting, forwarding etc. You could be easily breaking the law by doing such. |
