Has anyone else noticed that when you watch a film made in the uk the background streets and all doesnt look half as glamourus as america even if its in the middle of a field lmao just wondering why the grass is realy greener on the other side of the pond lol ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Two reasons- its a lot sunnier there.
But also its the way they film- higher brightness, use as much front lighting as possible (ie the sun shining on everything where the background looks brighter than the subject). And also they soft focus everything behind the subject so you cant see the gritty grimey details of background, giving it a 'cleaner' look....
