Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Depends. Is your food still cold?

If the fridge goes above its optimum temperature the light will go out.

If its just a blown light it can be easily replaced. Just don't ask Minxie to do it.

How cold is the bulb?

Bulb was gone in our fridge for over 20 years

as you probably don't have a spare bulb knocking around , my first instinct would be to change the fuse on the plug and see if the bulb comes on if not it could still just be the bulb, but you have at least eliminated one possibility. then just check how cold your food is every 10 mins.

Leave the freezer door open for 5 minutes- it'll soon kick the compressor in to life if its working. probably a blown bulb- easy to sort out (by a devilishly gorgeous qualified electrician maybe? )

It's probably just a blown bulb, see if its still warm round the back/sides, if it is dont worry about it. Of course if you do need it fixed, I'm more than happy to do it for you
