There was a great after dinner speaker who used to be an air traffic controller ....

He had some classic tales to tell, especially about his french counterparts

I'll have to go google ... I'm sure there are recordings on youtube

I think they do right if they get treated shite or if having to do things that can potentially cause safety probs due to cutbacks then good for them.

If we in uk were as strong or some call it selfish our government may not be as harsh as they are at moment.

they are striking today because the EU want to eventually merge all the countries "airspace" into one...

so basically when you leave uk airspace... you would just go into "european" airspace

so it would basically mean less air traffic controllers coverage more airspace

doesn't sound like the most safe thing ever...
