It's a song which is typically played at the end of a party and everybody comes together and dances in sync!
And no it's not the cha cha slide nor the macarena lol |

Some of the dance moves involve clapping your hands then turning around, then moving your hips/shoulders lol! I've heard it play at a few parties when it's about to end! |

It was originally released in the 80s on the same album that had word up on it but was rereleased due to it being on a soundtrack of a film called the best man. So you were right in thinking that it was song from a while ago as they never redid the video.
