I wish they would pay us more, and i think they would if only they knew exactly what we go through and have to fight for to get what we want.
I just starting on another phase of my disabled daughters life and it gets scarier very single year, because i know that one day i will have to walk away from her and leave her to the system |

I think carer's are under paid and undervalued.
Especially the likes of you, Ruby and Cali, parents who have to care and don't get near enough help or money to allow you to give your children the best care you can.
Think it is such a shame when parents/guardians don't get enough resources to try and make their lives that little bit easier. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Apologies for the apostrophe - I've finally discovered the peril of auto-correct.
Any more carers to thank add them here.
It nearly killed me trying to look after my mother so I take my hat off to you that do this day in and day out. |

"It's Carer's Week.
Thanks to you all, those that are on here who speak about the challenge and those that quietly get on with it."
These people are amazing and don't get enough praise i know its a job i could never do and i have a lot of time for them some of the help we had with a family member could not be more appreciated |

My sisters have been amazing to say the least, I say thank you a awful lot and send them to a spa a few times a year, besides other things. Without them my life would be really hard and my daughters life less fruitful, I am truly blessed to have them. |

There are thousands of children who have to care for their ill parents and get no help
I was one of those many years ago .. the sad fact is it goes on now and these children cease being children - they have to grow up too fast..
Anyway my hat goes off to them all and they all deserve bloody medals |

caring is also a rewarding job for us carers, I love going to work and doing my calls each day, just chatting to the elderly you hear some amazing stories of their lives and they are such sweeties too and so grateful for what you do for them, of course you get some calls that are not so pleasant but that's part of the job |

So true - you carers out there are amazing people.
Instead of giving knighthoods to;
Corrupt politicians, incredibly wealthy businessman/women & sports people - they should be given to you & your likes - working your asses off for peanuts, if anything at all!!!
Take a bow!!! |

I am a full time carer for my hubby and have been for a few years now..it is hard work, I also have a son still at home doing his exams at mo so am kept quite busy...Looking after my husband is fine am ok doing that, but what gets me down is the way his illness is affecting his moods, he has more dark moods then bright moods and is understandable with the pain he is in... |
