Do you spoil your pets?

Mine are my children substitute, so I guess I do.

I get discounted roast chicken from my local supermarket near to closing time so that I can supplement their normal food with roast chicken.

I eat the skins as a treat to myself, and the carcasses go into a pot to make stock, so nothing get wasted.

Apparently I am not the only one who buy discounted roast chicken for their pets.

My cat and dog do not like posh pet foods, so they deserve a little treat from their mum!

The dog is very good at eating all the chicken first, no matter how well I mix his bowl!

How about anyone else?

Well my little Westie won't eat dog food so she eats whatever I eat (apart from chips, she won't eat those lol), she shares my bed (which Arcie is getting used to slowly !!!) and is usually found on my lap in the evening............. so yes I suppose you could say I spoil her a little

In the morning, my dog gets to share my croissants or toasts.

When I have a fry up, he normally gets his little pile of sausages, bacon, black pudding, and fried bread. No eggs as he does not like eggs.

He gets to lick the lid of cream and cream cheese etc...

And I get chopped up off cut cold meat for them both, as they like it.

can't spoil my dog, he does just as he likes really. He's a proper council estate street dog, he will eat anything, fight anything and fuck anything. Bought him for £50 and it's the best £50 I ever spent. He's my best mate

Both the cat and dog used to share the other side of my double bed.

However, the cat seldoms join me and the dog anymore, as the dog is rather rough and woofs at her.

The dog knows when he is not welcomed on the bed when Mr Hot Date is about! He would quietly goes to his make-shift bed on the floor without a fuss, bless him!

.

I spent stupid money on a folding bike so that I can do a couple of miles with my dog running next to me when the weather is better and warmer!

In a few moments from now, we'll be headed down the stair to make 2 slices of toast - one for each dog

Other than that, they get bits and bobs from us, not too much though because human food isn't always as good for them as we may think - salt and all that, but neither do they don't eat that tinned muck which is passed of as gravy laden, wholsome, meaty goodness dog food either.

For a starter it's full of shite, and protein. Protein has the dogs Hyper .......

We feed our 2 on Dr Johns Silver, biscuits, they are meant to be a complete meal on their own, but they won't eat them dry, so we add a tin of oily sardines.

Both of them are as fit as fiddles with this food.

A big sack of Dr Johns lasts 3 weeks (2 big dogs) and costs just less than 9 quid, sardines are about 25p per tin from Lidl.

Work out the cost of a meal per dog using the above prices - cheaper ( and better) than tinned supermarket muck and the dogs love it

Off to make toast now
