eat fish? Cats are native to the Far East, and were domesticated by the early Egyptians. Since Egypt is mostly desert, and there aren't many fish in the desert, how did they know they like fish |

Mine is not keen on fish, unless it is in a pouch of cat food!
I once bought discounted fresh fish fillets and microwaved them for her, and she turned her nose up and walked off.
Never again after that! |

they are more attracted by the movement of the fish first, like a fast moving mouse or bird, it catches their attention.
I have 2 cats, Chop Chop always brings in voles and fieldmice to show "how clever she is" but they are always alive and plays with them inside.
Shad'o sits and watches the goldfish swim but never goes for them. She even sits at the TV watching the football or the ps3 when its on for fast moving things.
the eating part is probably cos they are hungry, mine never go hungry. |
