the act of measuring will affect your heart rate, so get someone else to measure it.
best if they do it over a longer period (eg count for 5 mins and divide by 5 to get bpm), as even the passive act of being measured will affect your rate and it'll take a little while for you to relax. |

Checking your redting heart rate over a prolonged period - 7 days- will give you a more accurate reading. Some very fit aerobic athletes have resting heart rates in the 40s. And others in the 70-80s. It's a general rule though not always applicable.

You not on beta blockers or similar? 205 is really fast and could cause syncope. |

I have ablation twice now to fix the problem and its not worked i take Verapamil and awaiting further investigation from a cardiologist which will probably be a pacemaker |

I hear good reports of ablation, especially alcohol ablation to the septum, but it doesn't always do the trick.
The pacemaker gives great reassurance. 99% of the time it just sits there and does nothing but that 1% is a life-saver.
I hope it goes well for you. |

Thank you was hoping ablation would have worked this time but sadly it didn't but I don't get as many attacks as I did. I'm not worried about having a pacemaker and if it does the trick I will be happy |
