There's been a police helicopter hovering over the town for the last hour, darn thing was over my house when I was putting the washing out -what a racket! Either Lord Lucan's been spotted riding Shergar on top of the Slagbank or someone's missing in the Estuary (I do hope it's the former, so no tragedy for anyone on a lovely Spring day). I'm off down the coast to meet some mates so will have to wait 'till later to get the caricature from the local gossip machine (aka Facebook)  |

I hope it is not the helicopter that is one of its kind in the entire country that was seen hovering over the scene of that dreadful speedboat accident recently.
I feel sorry for those who witnessed the tragic accident or had to deal with the aftermath, as it must be stomach-churning having to fish out body parts from the water!

Phone call from my Mam telling me to get on FB and find out why her street is cordoned off and residents been told not to worry, but lock themselves in...rumour mill reports naked, badly hurt person found down the old pier and guns on Mam's street...Lots of police, coupla ambulances but the helicopter's gone now |

A local woman and her daughter have been murdered by her son (mentally disturbed I believe) - happened just across the road from my Mam's, the town is in shock - happened two doors down from where a young woman was murdered about 4 years ago! Mam is fine, has been on the telly (although I haven't seen it) and has had The Sun on the phone to her cos she's a frequent writer to the Editor so her number must have popped up on their database! RIP Alice and Katie xxx |
