I really wouldn't worry about it, nor do I think Birmingham is the worst place in the UK.
Whilst Birmingham may have had the highest reported number, that just means people in Birmingham are actually being tested (otherwise how would they have the figures) So it's other places where less people live, and less people get tested that will be worse, percentage wise.
I'd rather go to birmingham where they get tested than somewhere they didn't bother with testing and harboured a variety of nasty's.
There is no sensationalism in 'half of the country don't get tested'. 'Birmingham has highest rate' simply sells more papers  |

Many veterans I have spoken to on this site dont even know what a gum clinic is, these are very active members and have openly admitted they have never had an std screening and have pics of cream pies on show.

The St Ives figures were based (like any other study) by per head of population.
Considering that the population of the St Ives area is pretty low, and that many of it's inhabitants are not permanent residents but more nomadic, then the report was flawed.
It's too easy to be alarmed by these studies, in fact the statistics are often released in order to alarm the masses.
A frightened population is a controlled population.
All anyone can do is remain in total control of their own sexual health. |

Some people think oooooo I can't be arsed to go down be checked as I look and feel ok ......... silly them as some things you can have and feel very little ... That what worry me ..... people who think thy are not at risk and meeting others ..Having sex with strangers is HIGH RISK and there no getting away from that. You never know what thy have been up too, Even if say this and that to look good .. |

Agree completely with this... 3 out of 3 guys I met did not have condoms..i bring my own but thinking back it appeared to be normal practice for them to go without |
