It's exhausting going through a hyper cycle, I think what I'm doing right now finally counts as relaxation. This time has been rather constructive though so a real positive, I spent my energy decorating, things are looking up I would like to hear of the positive hyper cycles that have happened and how they've had a positive impact on your lives. Plus I'm horny hell lol |

Same here, but i have to say. Since leaving my ex 18 months ago (who has PTSD) I have yet to have a bad cycle. I am more relaxed, stress free and very content. So so far, all is good and long may it last... |

"I hav rapid cycling big polar as well. Usually scrubbing the house in the middle of the night or making amazing plans when I'm on a hyper" Always a good thing when your house gets the attention, although it's hard not to take on too much. Hubby has had no end of grief with all of interior design that's been put on to him, although I can tell he's enjoying it |

"Forgive my ignorance. I did not realise there were various forms of bipolar. If you have a hyper cycle, do you also have a non active cycle? " Absolutely with depression and sometimes mixed states which can feel like you want to party at the same time as feeling depressed, it's probably the worst for me (mixed state). I haven't really spoken of it in the past but now I'm accepting of it and want to see the ways I can turn this into a silver lining, so talking about it also helps |

There is still a big stigma about depression and the fact its still swept under the carpet or not taken seriously. I think it's great that more and more ppl are talking about it as it brings it to the attention of the public eye. It's taken a long time coming for the medical profession to take it seriously. It not only effects the person that has it, it has a knock on effect on our loved ones too! |

Oh ok, at lest your looking at it positively. Do you have medication to try to control the Hugh's and lows or do they cause other issues. How long do the cycles last? |

"Highs not Hugh's. " Yes I do, they do help but mostly inevitable that cycles will find a way. The regularity of the cycles depends on whether or not it's rapid cycling or slow cycling bipolar.

As you're rapid I'm guessing the cycles are quite frequent? I know, I know, I am very perceptive
Why do you think that the hyper phase makes you more horny? Is it just that you're not feeling low? |

It's a help having people to recognise the cycles and when you're not taking your medication, so its important to have the help of others. |

Ha ha you're partner must hate your hyper phase then
Still he deserves a reward for all the interior design he has to do! |
