I went to the doctor today as I have not been well for weeks with flu etc (all boring stuff). I am only breathing at 75% capacity and as now back at work its quite important that I breathe  .
Anyway the nice doctor says "Okay we are going to give you 8 steroids a day for the next week to open your tubes up" (sure that could be taken in many ways ).
I asked " will I get really big and grow hair???". He looked at me disdainfully and said " Not unless you want to".
Anyway the tablets are already starting to kick in a bit. He said by friday I will be full of energy. I cant wait. After 3 weeks of feeling crass its gonna be brilliant!!!!! |

Prednisolone, take them every couple of months for my asthma, in fact I am on a 10 day course right now.
You will become fat and bloated if you are not careful! They tend to trick the mnind into wanting food all the time after a couple of days.
You will find yourself grazing on anything you happen to pass. It takes willpower not to pick up biscuits and anything else lying around. |

Lollys been on Hydrocortisone and Fludrocortisone for nearly 10 years now and shes got really fat (well shes gone from a size 6 to an 8 haha) she did have problems at first, she got very aggressive and some unwanted hair grew but the only long lasting problem is that shes prone to getting thrush so the Dr has given her Fluconazole for that (hell all those big words this time of the morning sorry people!) |

I was on a double dose of steriods whilst recently in hospital but the positive outcome outweighed the negative, i went in blind and came out seeing again HOORAY!!!!!!!!! Apart from a few hot flushes and being abit restless i was fine. Hope it works out as well for you.
