"You need to take it up as a hobby/challenge and come do mine, rewards are a nice strong cuppa and a bacon butty " If the weathers good I wouldn't mind, I have found it to be theraputic. China Mugs I hope.... |

I garden for a living, mostly enjoy it.
Just a heads up - get your veg in now, or you will be too late.
There should be reasonable availability of bedding/basket plants for another week or two. |

I quite like it and did a bit yesterday. Was lovely to wake up and see it this morning all neat, tidy and pretty with my new plants in.
I have problems where I can not bend down and on occasions walk some days, so yesterday I got my chair out and sat there with the tubs on a table and planted them. Then instructed my 3 year old where to put the pots etc.
Have to say he did a good job.
Good old child labour (Joke!) |

I hope its not just a middle aged thing..
I am really enjoying it, when the weather is sunny and hot, with a BBQ going nothing beats just lounging in the garden, or sitting out at the table with a cold drink watching the sunset and listening to seagulls (oddly i find the pesky things relaxing BUT only in the evenings) |

I really miss my garden, I had crumbly, rich soil to die for, a veg patch, greenhouse and fruit trees and various flowering shrubs. Now I live in a 2nd floor apartment with not so much as a window box |

"I used to hate it, I now love it, something very satisfying about spending the day in the garden tending to plants etc... "
i'm not much of a gardener but i know what you mean. I find it really relaxing to tend to the old folks veg patch. Most the time i'm working in a high stress situ and pressured deadlines but simple gardening really puts the mind to rest |
