Yep, just noticed that now your avatar picture is next to the message and different colours - don't mind it at all (although maybe being bombarded with my dalek/3 breasted Total Recall alien Hybrid over a long message exchange might be less attractive a thought to those I message regularly!)  |

From Site Feedback:
We've changed the display of message threads/conversations on private messages with aim to make it clearer who said what (for site supporters).
We've also made a change for non site supporters to make it more obvious that such a feature exists when becoming a site supporter. This is because a lot of folks asked for this feature not realising it's part of the supporters package.
