So decided to start back on that site and had a message from the creator stating that all messages from guys 14yrs older/younger will be deleted and that any sexual references in messages will not be sent. the intimate encounter filter is due to be removed.
as the creator he wants the site as a dating site.
Anyone else get this message or has some random guy tried to fool me? Lol |

I was on pof many moons ago..deleted my account yet keep getting emails saying i've found a match etc.....went back on account still there..canny remember my password or username now though...but lets be fair more peeps on there are on here anyhow...know ive seen a few familiar faces  |

Where are the 'in between' sites? Not disrespectful fancy a fuck stuff types that bleat on about NSA the minute you look like you might be mates, but not boring vanilla pecks on the cheek and holding hands either.

although that post wasnt direted at me, my reply was along the same lines so hope you dont mind me explaining also.
Ive never had an interest in women, nor meeting couples. Im an eternally faithful person and would never cheat. If i give everything i am into a relationship then thats what id hope to then get in return
Couples on here i am 100% sure your all loved up and have massive trust in each other and it adds a little spice (not that its needed im sure) i just personally would not like the idea of a man i end up falling in love with sleeping with someone else for meaningless sex. |

For some fabs fills a need while between relationships. They only meet other singles for sex and not couples etc.

They have got rid of the inimate encounters section so alot of profiles who only ticked that were deleted (I think). The site owner has put alot of stuff into place gearing away just on there for sex and geared it more to those that want a relationship.. |

I wouldn't date anyone. A friendly FB is about as far as I'd go, but I don't particularly want that either. In theory it sounds cool and I wish such a thing existed. In reality it doesn't exist. (for me)

Actually, no. The woman I was mid chat with certainly wasn't the 50 shades type, had in depth chats and were due to meet when I got back from holiday- You can filter the 50 shades brigade within about 3 messages. |

I tries to sign back in and it wouldn't let me , so asked an old friend to look me up and it said I'd deleted my account ( which I hadn't ) they must be culling old accounts |

Last time I looked at the site I didn't like the new format...I know its important not to entertain timewasters but one look at the heaving menus (that I'm sure at some point will expect you to enter your shoe size and blood group before being allowed to create a profile), and I went 'no thanks' and promptly decided not to bother. |

I don't class myself as a swinger .. i don't do clubs dogging or meet as a couple ... just like one to one to be honest and thats very few and far between.
I'm on POF but to be honest its like FAB without the honesty .. I did have a friend on there whos account was deleted and he got an email saying he had to pay to get it back ... His was a plain and simple account just looking to date nothing serious ... also not looking for initimate encounters. But that didn't save him.  |

I joined POF a while ago with a premium account. I was very honest on my profile and I suspect this hindered me a lot on there.
With this new rule, I'm off to delete my account on there. They'll only end up losing the honest members like me. The ones who pretend they just want friendship and then ask for sex will always be on there |

How annoying are the profiles on it? Most people have multiple pictures in all their photos. How the fuck am I to know which one they are?

How annoying are the profiles on it? Most people have multiple pictures in all their photos. How the fuck am I to know which one they are?
Pretty much no one has a clear face picture and apparently pulling a duck pose is still cool.

I'm on POF but to be honest its like FAB without the honesty .. I did have a friend on there whos account was deleted and he got an email saying he had to pay to get it back ... His was a plain and simple account just looking to date nothing serious ... also not looking for initimate encounters. But that didn't save him. "

I think if you stated anywhere in your profile that you were looking for an intimate encounter or showed photos of your body/gentials/bum, etc. then your account got deleted. |

I believe its only as good as the people are in your area. So the more people that joined. The more chance you have of meeting someone you get on with. Even if its just friends you end up as. I know someone whose been with their partner for 15 months and very soon he's going to propose to her. Earlier on in that relationship. That person and his partner nagged me to join and ok. Going by the photo she looked attractive, but the more I got to know her. The more ugly I thought she was as well as a freak.
In person you have a direct yes/no response of they are interested in you. Whereas online you can search what kind of thing you are looking for in someone. |

I had a profile on pof a while ago but took down all my pics and pretty much left due to a series of idiots and wannabes messing me about. So, if my profile has been deleted that suits me as I couldn't work it out myself. |

We had a lady work for us ... Lovely person but had not dated for years ...she was up for giving it a go after 15 years no man. So me and the girls told her about sites like f dating site and we helped make her over take pics and a profile together and she had the time of her life and still meeting a man from there . Been over 3 years now, so it do work for some .. She was not looking really for sex but a friend and person she could date and maybe sex once she new them.  |

When I was first divorced I started on pof. Someone recommended it. My profile said dating and I got little attention.
So as an experiment set up another profile looking for intimate encounters. I was inundated! !!
Eventually gave up on it. Too many marrieds and fantasists. |
