Aw no, just googled and saw he was leaving! I've liked all the recent new Doctors although I'm not sure about John Hurt as the forgotten Doctor (he looked a bit too rough to me!) Maybe Benedict Cumberbatch might be a not bad idea - loved him in Sherlock and the new Star Trek film |

That's why it can't be him. |

"John Hurt is the new doctor
Do you think they will do that? I think he'll keep popping up to haunt the Doctor."
they introduced him on the last episode, but you could be right about him just popping up in it, but you never know.. |

He's supposed to be a forgotten Doctor, so can't see the big regeneration scene being him...there's always been gossip about having a female Doctor, but to be honest, I don't think that'd work for me...I reckon it could be a ginger Doctor as when Matt Smith regenerated he said "and still not ginger" so maybe Rupert Grint, Damien Lewis or Prince Harry
Sorry, geek report over |

"Colin Morgan as Merlin was axed? "
Actually, he wouldn't be a bad Doctor in my opinion, and he's already had a guest spot in a David Tennant episode a few years ago. Just googled it and found an article where he said he wouldn't be interested in playing the Doctor - but in the same article, Matt Smith said he had no plans to leave and it was only from December last year so who knows |

"Colin Morgan as Merlin was axed?
That's an interesting choice. You don't think they'll go female then?"
Yeah but who do they have as her assistant then? I mean two women operating a time machine? Who would park it? Great Caesar's ghost! |

At least a couple of women would be happy to ask for directions whilst stuck in a time vortex rather than hurtling round trying to hit the right planet/dimension/time |

Steelheels for the new Doctor
Only if I can wear a 6ft long multi coloured scarf and a sexy smokin' hot female assistant. "

Apparently all betting on who'll be the next Dr was suspended by Ladbrookes after leaks suggesting Rory Kinnear has been offered the Job...
I’ve no idea who he is,,,,,,
Oh well.... |

Ive heard a few rumours (I am a complete geek)
Benedict Cumberbatch - my view not a chance. Although he is not doing anymore Sherlock after the next I doubt he would want to be stereotyped into another iconic character.
John hurt - although a tremendous actor he is too old. Matt Smith has increased the viewing rates of the programme tenfold and this is mostly from children. Hurt will be in the 50th anniversary programme as a teaser.
Jemma Aldridge - people have been gossiping about this a lot as she is feisty, clever ect but this was only the case as the BBC were getting criticism for the programme being sexist so they brought in a strong female character. To have a female Dr would be a huge step too far.
As before with Matt Smith my money is on a nobody that will come in and make the role his own.
