Does it require you to wear a toolbelt?

I volunteered for a year locally because I needed a term time job

I worked bloody hard - longer than full time hours sometimes because I didn't want to sit around and wait for my life to change

Its the best thing I did and I loved it and if it wasn't for needing money id go back to do it in a heartbeat

It is difficult when earning money gets in the way of volunteering - I have similar problems.

My daughter has a better quality of life now than she did before and now Im in a better position to move house too - which is a priority but ... I loved and miss it so much. I miss it all but Im sure life has other plans for me - philosophical mumbo jumbo maybe

I tend to specifically target my voluntary activities at projects that run thought-out the year.

But this week I may just spend a bit of extra time with a bin-bag in hand as I walk the coastal route during my early morning strolls...

Done my 3 for this year already. You don't need a week to offer something back. But , I back this post 110%

You don't need a whole week - an hour helping someone is valuable. The week is to promote volunteering and getting people interested in offering some of their time.

I would love to have time to do some voluntary work but shift work and caring for 3 kids one being disabled makes it impossible. Big to those of you who can xx
