Is that the new McDonald's limited edition New Yorker by any chance? Yeah that looks nasty and I bet no American would even call that a burger.
For a start, a real burger IMO has got to be bigger than a quarter pounder but smaller than a half-pounder so it isn't just gluttony.
Soft bread, not grilled or anything. Melted Monterrey Jack cheese and two slices of pickled gherkin.
Finally, a squirt of pickle mustard and then a bit of burger relish but not so much as to drown in it |

That sounds lovely, but I quite like the bread to be warmed. |

"I wouldn't have one.
Have you tried any of these specials? What puts you off?"

The only burger worth eating from maccy d's is the M burger, when they have it, everything else from them is bland bland bland, now BK on the other hand, their burgers are very nice.....especially the part where you say "no pickle".......gerkins come straight from the devils own bottom! |

"Got to be home made for me with good lean minced beef. Lots of chopped onions and bound with flour. Mmmm tasty. And I know exactly what goes into it!"
I make my own too! I do go out and by them but I can happily make four and eat them in one sitting. Better value for money!
Never tried flour as a binding agent. Hmmm... |

A great burger for me is my own home made ones. The family love them and I know what is in them. I use lean steak mince, finely chopped onion, a little olive oil, some paprika, black pepper and salt and last of all an egg to bind it together. |

I am going back years and years now, but the burgers the yanks used to serve up at the RAF Mildenhall airshows were the best I've ever tasted
For me tho, keep it simple, a fresh bun, good quality meat well cooked and just a dash of ketchup, job done |

I have tried one of those American Burgers from Mcdonalds and just yuck! The sauce the put on made my tongue furry and it all fell apart after one bite. It really wasn't pleasant at all.
I would love to go to America on a foodie tour, like what you see on television, I remember one programme where it went round all the restaurants/diners that were in films and the one that I remember was the When Harry met Sally diner. They even went round the street food stands.
