Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
The Evening Standard has an article on working with sociopaths. There is a little quiz to see if you could be a sociopath.
It sounds like a players charter.
It's from a book by M.E. Thomas (not her real name), Confessions of a Sociopath. An edit of the quiz:
1. Charm to get others to do things
2. Free of entangling and irrational emotions
3. Strategic and canny
4. Unfazed by uninterrupted eye contact
5. Ambivalent about morality at times lacking remorse or guilt
6. Crave stimulation and easily bored
7. Have to succeed/be competitive
8. Like to ruin people
9. Hungry for power
10. Exude confidence and have an inflated view of self
See what I mean. Can you apply 5 or more of these to yourself? |

8 - only in a sexual way
9 - ditto (occasionally)
10 - Part 1 - most of the time, part 2 - do me damndest not to have
I've read a few of those "are you a socio/psychopath type tests and I hit more of the points than not - will I turn into Dexter? Probably not (although my other personalities may disagree, and there's a bit of a smell coming out of the cellar) |

It was written about the workplace. There was a report a few years ago about board members having the same traits as psychopaths.
I just thought it could apply here too. |

"Bit of a swiping statement. Not sure you can apply this to work and swinging. Would you not say top sports people can fit these rules? "
Of course it's a sweeping statement. It was in the Standard and is a confessions book. I just thought I'd sweep swingers with it too. |

"Yep, definitely more than 5 on that list. That and all those caravanners who had "unfortunate carbon monoxide poisoning"."
Note to self: Next caravanning holiday is not to be anywhere near Inverness |

I never understand the need people have to put themselves or others in boxes. Granted it can be amusing to read but isn't it more fun to be an individual. I don't really see myself as a sociopath, swinger non swinger or any such other label. I am pretty happy being me and not fitting in a box. |

"I can only say yes to a couple of them. I'm going to have to leave the site.
Good bye... au revoir... farewell... toodle pip...
"
No, you have to stay so that the sociopaths have someone do charm and ruin. |

Why would I want to fit into a bag and god forbid a saggy one who ever she may be I would never refer to shekind as that! |
