It's a pain but the only way I know is to delete a lot of your pm's that you can see, then the older ones slot forward, so you have to keep doing this until you find the one you want!
I wish there was a search/filter on pms so you could look for one etc!! |

you will have to deleat some then more pop up at the bottom click on save mail if youdont want to lose it |

yeah the system only shows the last 100 messages in any window sent, read etc
To view them you as has been said above have to delete any you don't want that currently can be viewed, BUT when you have 100 you want its a bit tough unless your a site supporter in which case you can move them or save them to the saved messages folder. freeing up more space in your inbox and sent mail folders.

you guys must have interesting mail, lol. Ours is usually to say hello or to arrange a meet. Once we have read them we delete them. Don't think we ever keep mail in inbox or outbox longer than couple of days  |

I don't like the way you think you have lost messages, I thought I had lost a phone number twice on here and felt a right dizzy blonde asking for it again twice and then when I had deleted some messages I found it had been there all along  |

Oohhhhh right, just checked and yes it seems you do keep the messages but can't access the older ones until you dlete the new ones, thats a bit daft, I want to keep my new ones and delete the older ones, but I can't access them to do that, come on amin sort it out, let us have pages we can flick back through. |

100 messages in my dreams - I wish I even sent myself one once (I was away from home and a friend told me something I wanted to remember so I logged on and pm'd myself lol).

Yeah a page selection would be nice, luckily site suporters get the save option and a history of the messages sent in a thread!
One question though, If you let your membership lapse are you messages deleted from your saved folder? Or is that me being stupid?  |

Be aware that some messages still go missing even after you deleted the newer ones.
I had one I wanted to keep (from before we were site supporters so not saved) it had an website address in it that I wanted to use after Christmas.
When I went to get the web addy I cant find the message I even deleted all our messages but its still gone and because I have no idea when it was deleted I cant even ask admin to see if they can find it - ohh and its not on the message thread even tho I still have a message from the same person that I got within a few minutes of the missing message as part of the same chat.

Well Diamond hun its like this I really dont want to admit I didnt write it down even tho I said I was going to bookmark it online and keep a copy in my notebook!!
But on the plus side I think I remembered half the web address I think

I have a memory like a sieve so I try to always have a notepad with me but at home the kids keep "borrowing" my notepads and "forgetting" to return then again
So I thought its ok I can just leave the email in the inbox and it will be there when I need it
But I got it all worked out I will just save everything now and hope (keep your fingers crossed for me  ) that I will have them all in 6 months when I need then

Im that bad that any appointment card you know for doctors dentist hairdressers (ohh that reminds me lol) all that sort of thing gets written on the calendar the minute I walk in the front door and I even placed the calendar right next to the door so I would see it every day as I walk down the hall.
And guess what since I started doing that the kids dont miss things - even tho they might want to
