Or do you say what you think and know others want to hear ....
Yes I know everyone will say
' I only say what I want yaddda yaddda etc etc' but I have to wonder with some things I read ...
Always one for a little controversy
Be nice and respectful and above all honest
For the record I say ' yes you look wonderful' to people with pizza round their faces |

Yeah I say what I want gets me in trouble at work and socially, I am told I am sometimes too truthful. Well thats the way I am I say what I think or Feel so then at least theres no lies or twisting or bitching you know where your at.
Must get it from my old Mam because Im almost 30 now and I am still sh*t scared to ask her opinion |

with the moon n stars somewhere in gtr manc |
I try and put things politely, and not shout someone down.
As I said on another thread, I have learned a lot and have reflected on things, so feel a lot more chilled about stuff.
I don't think I have ever 'sucked up' to someone. As Roy Walker used to say "Say what you see" and that sums me up. Although I may have been a lil bit sarky on one or two posts, but I can't help it |

Ah thats the same with lying - Id be bloody useless because I don't even remember what day of the week it is |

I say what I like or wish but not necessarily all up front a little bit of tact and diplomacy goes a long way. But that doesn't mean you have to say something you don't believe in or wish to happen. |

I can be honest and say what I think, but sometimes that gets me in trouble.
I can also say what I think peoe want to hear, specially if it's for my personal gain, and I'm on about professionally and personal life here.
So I guess I'm guilty on both counts me Lady |

Diplomacy isn't always good - but it sometimes necessary!!
I'm often guilty of being quite blunt in certain aspects of my life - I don't pussy foot around at work and definately don't suffer fools gladly - in day to day life or on here.
But i'd like to think i'm a reasonably good judge of character and give people the benefit of the doubt - til that's no longer justified at which point i'll often have to bite my tongue quite hard.
I've learnt - particularly when it comes to the forums, not to rise to certain posts. It's taken a while and i've had my fair share of penalties. But the one thing I won't do is compromise my beliefs or opinions, whether they're in line with the general consensus or not! |

Its never a good thing if someone compromises their own beliefs in order to pacify someone else

I say something if its helpful and constructive.
And....
If I have nothing nice to say I say nothing. Not because I'm too scared to. Its the way I was brought up. |

I tend to avoid controversy and I'm often guilty of refraining from giving my own opinion for fear of it not being popular. I tend to wait and see what others think and go along with the majority so that I fit in. |
