Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
There is a report on the BBC News website that cockroaches are getting smarter and evading traps.
What would be a good evolutionary step for another species, especially us two legged ones. |

At least we don't have fire ants. And they, as horrible as they are, don't have the bad habits of crazy ants ... cockroaches have lived and evolved for an awful long time ... I don't think they need much help from us.
But for my 2 pennies, 1) become cold blooded which would prob increase our energy bills, but would reduce our need for food or 2) GM us to become photosynthetic ... then we would have to walk around with nowt on ... and it would be expected |

Would we need to be green as well? I quite like the idea of our skin changing colour for autumn, but not falling over during the winter. |

I read this story this morning.
I don't trust those lil fellas one bit.
Did you know that the only animals that would survive a nuclear holocaust are cockroaches and Dale Winton?
They're not of this planet. |

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I was SO grateful for the army of ants in our villa when we went to Lanzarote... They never annoyed us or got into our food but they killed any cockroaches that came in, all we ever saw of them were the carcasses.

Nothing to do with getting smarter x their taste buds have evolved so sweet tasting glucose tastes bitter to them x not difficult to explain the evolution , those that liked sweet died no reproduction those that thought it bitter breed like roaches x |

I will now be able to sleep at night knowing that Dale Winton would have to survive in an 'I'm a Celebrity' way by eating the 'lil critters. |

I'm thinking of changing ny profile name to cockroach, in the hope that some of their evolutionary traits, versatility and resilience will be passed on.
No longer will the poor male, sob at his desperate plight to be messaged and winked at...I will rise from the heap stand tall, and probably be crushed under the high heels of some dominant woman.....scurries back under fridge with the other pitiful guys |
