Night at the darts is great. It is odd though no one smoking now, dosnt seem the same somehow not having to peer through the smog lol. |

Back in 1981, I worked for an audio/video company at Gateshead, amongst other stuff, we sub hired equimpment to Tyne Tees Television as it was in those days.
I got sent to a working mans club in Dalton le Dale, beside Seham to help set up the gear for a televised darts match on Tyne Tees
Only one problem, I'd put the wrong gear in the van and had to return to Gateshead, thus making the recording of this darts match late .. 
But the players, can't remember their names now, were good crack, just ordinary guys .. |

Have a friend who works for Sky Sports and has covered virtually every sporting event; footie, cricket, tennis, snooker, formula one etc He says the best crack of all by a mile is the darts - have to say one of our tiny ambitions is to go next year anyone fancy it? |

Its a great night out, get some tickets and go as the atmosphere is the best. |

I agree the darts is a great night out, i have been to the M.E.N Arena the last 2 years to see the Premier League darts, and what a night. Have a few beers and a good laugh and loads of nice women, hehe
Also, has Martin Adams won the final? |

That was a fantastic final on BBC2,brilliant skill and great entertainment plus everyone enjoying themselves without groups of arseholes going berserk.
Anyone can relate to the game too by just having a go,then you realise how good these folk are.
We're determined to go sometime.
