Visuals on the ten o' clock news showing the devastating results of a tornado through Oklahoma.
How much of a warning did they have of its arrival?
Where do you and your family shelter, do you build an underground shelter at the cost of thousands?

"just watching now
shocking
highest winds ever recorded as well on the ground"
been watching the coverage since about 9 on one of the local tv afiliates
to give you a sense of what the size of this thing was like... it was the best part of a mile and a half wide... and was on the ground for the best part of 45minutes to an hour......
this was an F5 tornado... and has flattened everything.. including 2 elementary schools.....
the one saving grace, if any, is that it "lifted" just short of the main Oklahoma City itself... and then has touched back down on the other side...... |

I have some friends in the area. Thankfully they're all safe but the devastation is massive. Apparently they only had around 6 minutes warning when the twisted first touched down. |
