As youngster I never remember the ships been open the pubs shut at 3 and it was the family day timers have changed to make the rich folk even richer I'm afraid

Ban it - very poor reflection on people's preferences and planning abilities if we can't spend one day a week not shopping!

Sunday should be funday - and for me shopping is not fun.

Working in a shop on a Sunday is even less fun.

For those of us who work, this is the day we can wander round the shops not having to do it in a rush plus as pubs are open it does mean I can pick up any shifts going and earn extra money

Ban it , I'm sure all those that work in care will understand that those we work with can manage alone for 24 hours

I work on a Sunday through choice, not the fact that I get paid very well for doing it.

Like everything I do it out of love

I love the French way of life & I would love their working style to return to Britain

Not really given trying to do shopping in one's lunchtime is a nightmare given that town is full of the selfish thoughtless people that don't work, and I don't always have time on Saturday if I am working

I'll qualify my remarks - I was really thinking of Sunday retail shopping.

Like it used to be - with small. family corner shops able to open.

Apologies for being less than clear.
