Do you have any Photoshopped photo stories ?"
For people with recognisable tattoos that want to keep some anonymity its fine. For those who shave inches off body parts or add them its a little sad but can be amusing at times too. I think though its down to the individual what they do with their pictures although it would be nice to have a footnote they have been altered. |

All my pics get edited in some way, shape or form!
The majority just simple cropping. Some just switching from colour to B&W. Others have light adjusted, colour splashes and other 'artistic changes'.
The one thing they all have in common (and this applies to both my own and those i've done for others) is that apart from hiding tattoos, distinguishing birthmarks, jewellery and of course faces (all to meet the rules re identifying others as per site guidelines) - they are all true images of the people in them - no fudging body styles or the size of certain 'attributes'.
Why would anyone not want to put a little care into the pictures they are using to attract interest and place on their profiles for public perusal? |

Quite agree - I love b/w pictures as they look a bit more dramatic and I see nothing wrong with changing the colour, softness etc of an image nor with taking a shot at a favourable an flattering angle. I would draw the line at taking off inches or rejuvenating tactics like erasing lines.
Other than that it is often the artistic and imaginative part of a picture that attracts me rather than the body if that makes sense? |

I don't know why people have hangups over using photoshop, if you shoot in raw you have to process the image, be it photoshop or any other editing tool available.
As long as it is not altering the image to misrepresent the subject then why not.
All of my images are processed in Lightroom, contrast and colour edited..not the actual subject.
It is just a photography tool...to bring the best out of the picture..eg a simple crop..which many people could do with using on this site to cut the crap out of their pictures!

All my photos are shopped in some way, mostly just cropped or had the lighting tweaked. I would never trim inches off, whats the point, I've got wobbly bits and anyone meeting me would see them anyway, that and the fact I wouldn't have a clue where to start with something that technical   |

Other than putting splodges over faces or tatts and the occasional cropping my amateur snaps are "warts and all" (figure of speech before anyone gets the liquid nitrogen out) My pro pics were slightly edited by the studio to remove blemishes etc, but they are mostly bloody flattering poses - I have the unedited ones at home and there's next to no difference and I was amazed how good they looked straight off the camera as I'd been tempted to ask them to just give me pix of Holly Willobooby! |

Using the available tools to enhance a photo by way of lighting, cropping, changing from colour to monochrome or eradicating identifiable features is one thing but actively changing a photo to alter the appearance of the subject is surely nothing short of deceitful? |
