For those who are stuck at home, I hope you have plenty of food in the house to keep you going until the weather gets better!

I am still going through the excesses of the holiday period, and am unlikely to starve or turn myself into a stick insect!

Wrap up warm and be safe!!!

.

My dad was the same, the chest freezer in my parents' old house in the suburb of Vancouver was always full.

My mum now lives with my bro in a flat without the chest freezer in downtown Vancouver.

Last year they were stuck in the flat when the weather was really bad, and they ran out of vegetable.

I advised her to stock up on the likes of frozen peas, spinach, carrots and mixed vegs for emergency. Hopefully, she has learnt!

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

I have a habit of buying tins and frozen stuff thinking "just in case I need something quick... and then never use it as I prefer making meals from fresh produce. With a pantry full of tinned soups and stews and curry and... well you name it really and two freezers crammed with all kinds of oven ready fish, meat made into something, stuff made from spuds, pizzas and so on... I think I can manage until July

I still have portions of home-cooked food in the freezers to last a month!

Plenty of rice and pasta, and tins in the cupboards too, so I'll be ok for a while!
