We were at a family wedding in America years ago. I was having a lay in and was going to miss breakfast at the hotel. My mum thought it was a good idea to get me some doughnuts, crispy cremes, and bring them to my room. Although I thought they tasted ok I was I'll for the rest of the day. I have never had one since and don't intend to.

To me they are overpriced and nothing special.
Much prefer those straight from the fryer and dusted with cinnamon sugar, especially the mini ones.
At a push, and one has to twist my arm very hard, the plain glazed one is what I would normally go for.

who needs krispy kreme donuts? the best ones by light years are the ones that come from the donut shop on the entrance to coney beach fair in porthcawl, fresh out of the fryer and still hot mmmmmmmmmm.
Better than them chewy processed over priced things anyday |

I'd rather have a plain ring doughnut, hot from the fryer and dusted with sugar.

See - nice as they are to eat - they're utterly useless for comedy donut/knob related photography!
Unless you really feel the need to post a pic from the burns unit! |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Krispy Kreme's - Lemon meringue.
Ordinarily I am happy with the raspberry ones from Sainsbury's (Waitrose don't do a good doughnut).
In Canada I have to have Tim Horton's and have a dutchy.
Seaside hot ones are the very best of all though.

Orginal Glazed cream filled ones are my fave but I think they have been discontinued for about a year now so other than that glazed ring is a top choice! What's your fave? |
