I love and hate planning; I love feeling organised but hate that with kids things never go to plan..its ok though we end up having loads of fun anyway!
In general I find loose plans best as we can plan for our own actions but rarely can we account for the actions of others

Mrs " SO you are saying planning is ok as long as there is a degree of flexibility? |

I take each day as it comes. I don't worry about yesterday and tomorrow is a new day. I rarely plan anything. The result is, little stress and a carefree existence... |

time keeping for me is a serious issue .. think this is due to my dad who always had the agenda ' if you don't arrive anywhere ten minutes ahead of time consider yourself late'
the military also sing of this same hymn sheet so time keeping does stress me out somewhat |

It depends. I like people to turn up and what happens after that happens or doesn't. A few ground rules and expectations are fine though. |

"super relaxed in every aspect of my life as is my fella but I cant shake the time keeping issue .. my bear bug I guess " You know I can understand it to a degree with my own miltary background but I have really softenend. In my professional life I think if I have a time agreed with somebody then short of a genuine problem they should be on time - otheriwse it feels as if they are saying to me that my time is less important than mine.
That said in my social life I am far more laid back. |

"If its an appointment of any kind then I will be early.
Everything else just takes care of its self, as I try and keep up." Same here - I try not to let people down ever. But with social arrangements I dont get stressed if I am running a bit late. |

"Does anybody else find they have changed over the years from being really anal about times and planning to a more relaxed approach now?"
Doing what I did for a living required meticulous planning but depended on an intense process of continuous reassessment and adaptation of those plans….!.
Which is why I now bask in the glorious abandon of randomality |

When arrangements have been made I allow extra time for travelling, shit happens, don't like being too early though. |

"to have things planned to a fine detail? I mea in general... and this can be light hearted or serious"
Meets have to be planned usually because of time - but not to the finest detail. I do like to travel with little planning. Nothing pleases me more than to just grab a passport, pile my bags in the car, get on a ferry and find a hotel in a nice town/village as I go. Travelled round much of Europe like that. |

I am a planner..plan everything and have been known to get quite distressed if circumstances change my plans....
Am learning to cope better and to reliniquish control.... |
