So the fact that he is the Captain and proud to wear his team colours to celebrate a MASSIVE win now makes him all that you said ??

What a pretty poor view, had it been your team you would not of said a word but because its JT you feel the need to belittle not only one of Chelsea's greatest players but also a brilliant captain and top defender.

No doubt the next comments will be full of hate etc but take a step back and show some respect for a team that have acheived huge success and are the FIRST EVER team to hold both Eurpean cups in the same year.

Don't "hate" him but rocking up in full gear is very cringe...

He has also done a lot of Other silly things... Just because he is a good footballer, doesn't make his actions any less silly... This isn't about his talent on the pitch.

Samandjamie you really ought to do some research into his past before you praise him. He is utterly morally bankrupt. Racist, cheating, aldultering (which caused a suicide), probably sexist, arrogant twat of the highest order. Then research his family members. They're all the same.

Now he's piggybacking others' successes

There are far far worse things in this world to concern yourself about.

In my opinion JT is pond life. Trouble is that he has been top notch footballer, albeit a sometimes less than honest one.

What did puzzle me was why did there appear to be at least players in goalkeepers colours in the squad picking up medals? Surely Rafa didn't have 3 sub goalies, or was it reserve goalies doing a Terry more like?

Unless you play or are a sub on the bench, its more dignified to enter the field wearing a club suit/blazer and tie ect.

As with all in football, its an opinion, not everyone e agree.

I do think it harsh having a go at him for celebrating with his mates, though he didn't play. The man Has contributed this season to their achievements and therefore should celebrate.

As a non-playing member of the squad on the day, any footballer can be expected to participate in any celebrations - they can't be denied that, but if he did not play during that day/night's match he should not be allowed to don his kit to go celebrate when collecting the cup/medal. A club suit and tie or club tracksuit over training shirt would be more appropriate. Let the playing members only be the ones to be kitted to go get the cup/medals. Make it a bit more special for them, especially when it comes to winning teams photographs in the press etc.

The amount of Chelski players in kit last night made it look like an American football team going up!!

People can have an opinion about a player, they don't have to "respect" anyone unless they think that person has earned their respect.

lets face facts. john terry is a fantastic footballer. I don't know him but from what I ve read and watched he is also a pretty despicable person.

the problem is he is representative of a business (Chelsea) and a group of people (Chelsea supporters). like so many others they support his despicable behaviour because they are good at what they do.

and Chelsea are in the majority here - all clubs support bad behaviour because they are morally bankrupt

Ok so just to be clear from my point of view......

I love my team, have supported them since i was a toddler, I DONT hate any other team or their players, if someone does something wrong then fine i will say my piece on that incident but aside from that i dont HATE on any other team or player or human being for that matter !!

If other people want to have their opinions thats their right and choice, when your pointing the finger at someone else there are 4 fingers pointing right back at you !! ( technically 3 but you get my point )

So instead of wasting your time hating and slagging of someone else go do something random and nice for someone because believe me the feeling and reward you get for that far far outweighs feelings of hate and anger.

" Fear leads to anger , Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to suffering "

Terry was a good footballer, however, has not led a captains example off the pitch and brought huge embarrassment to the club. If FIFA state that players have to wear their strip, so be it. What did make me chuckle was when the cup was lifted, quite rightly with Lampard was how he managed to lift the cup obscuring Franks face, rather like an actor stealing the camera. Congratulations to Chelsea an English team raising another European trophy. Well done to Benitez, perhaps the baying fans, that forced him to jump might apologise now.....yeah right, be careful what you wish for, I think he would have got Chelsea back to the premiership title.

Completely agree. Simple fact is that JT is just one of many massive tools in football... and life in general.

Should he have put the kit on? I don't think so, as he hadn't played in the final, but he should be allowed to receive the medal as he is team captain. So I guess it's just an example of corporate whoredom.

Completely agree about Rafa - hope he stays in England as he's a great coach (think Everton might be a step too far though...!)

Well I'm an arsenal fan.....

Firstly I'd like to congratulate Chelsea..... And rafa, who had done a superb job managing the squad through all the games and dragging them over the finishing line..... Just. And lets not forget the collossal amount of shit he has had to shoulder all year..... I'm pleased for Torres too!

Frank lampard ( who I have met a few times ) is an absolute gentlemen and respected by most I think...... He should have collected that cup. But him and jt are mates etc......

Right now down to jt.......

One of my best friends is an agent and represents 5 prem footballers....... And categorically most players and himself think jt is a discrace in so many ways I can't put it all down. I've personally have seen him piss up against the bar at the Wellington club!!!!!!!!!!!!! And perswaded someone to get a girls number to give to Essien so he can have a crack.... This 2 weeks after the Wayne bridge incident.... I mean come on!!!! Anyone that screws his best mates girl is morally bankrupt as far as I'm concerned!!! Yes yes giggsy is in that bracket.

We all make mistakes but jt is a catastrophe

His sending off in the semi final last year and then the way he tried to wriggle out of it after his initial statement before he had seen the reply on how obvious it was!!!! Laughable.

Anyway. Looking forward to Jose coming back.....

A well put statement and as someone with inside knowledge i guess you have more of an insight than most into JT, for me personally i dont like to judge someone on speculation more on fact or if i have actually met them.

I wouldnt for one minute condone any of the above behaviour you mention and find that pretty deplorable, and if that is true then its sad because of how good a footballer and captain he is

He once attended a charity gig I helped organise for disadvantaged kids and to be fair was ok until he took one of the secretaries who worked for me to a casino, impressed her by losing more than £40k and then bedded her while he wife was a couple of months away from delivering twins. Can't help feeling the kids would have benefitted more from his £40k than a casino and the shagging speaks for itself.

BUT if he had been the captain of my team Leeds Utd id be cringing at his antics n his fassination to be in full kit with boots n pads... what on earth was he thinking.. grow up JT you didnt play in either game .

He can just wear a suit! Did anyone tell him?

He only wears a suit in court "

"So the fact that he is the Captain and proud to wear his team colours to celebrate a MASSIVE win now makes him all that you said ??

What a pretty poor view, had it been your team you would not of said a word but because its JT you feel the need to belittle not only one of Chelsea's greatest players but also a brilliant captain and top defender.

No doubt the next comments will be full of hate etc but take a step back and show some respect for a team that have acheived huge success and are the FIRST EVER team to hold both Eurpean cups in the same year. "

You really are from another planet, if you think its anything to do with 'being proud to wear the teams colours'. He has been unfortunate to miss 2 of the most important games of his career, trophy winning games. Until JT, I had never seen a player dressed in kit, who was unable to play in the actual game. He is dressing for the photos & to be a part of the victory, and when reminiscing to the grandkids, he'll probably have scored the winner too.

O o O oo

Do you have to hte someone to say that you think they look silly by something they have done?

It reminds me of the man who snuck into a Man U photo once.

I think the captain of the night ( whoever that was) should be the one lifting the trophy and the people who didn't play stay in their suits and watch.

Who knows if he is a twat but what is obvious is how thick he is as he got the piss taken out of him last year for doing the same. But would you expect any less from a man with morals of a gutter rat and who is a disgrace to football.

And I suppose all of you haters can put your hand in your hearts and say you have never cheated on your mrs , made a racist joke , had a laugh at someone else's expense , flaunted cash when you have been flush to win a lady over or bathed in glory that wasn't really yours ????

Highly unlikely I would say but instead you choose to loose your lips on a high profile sportsman in order to hide your own short comings and insecurities. I'm my opinion that makes you the fools. All that hate in you , bit are you gonna make a great catch for the ladies on here and in life huh

As you all probably know, I am a huge Chelsea fan. As a footballer he is superb, as a human being he is reprehensible. So I am split how I feel from how he is on the pitch to how he is off it.

Ultimately there are a lot of overpaid sports stars out there that are no better. The problem being that these half brained knuckle draggers are paid vast amounts of money are treated like God, so they believe it gives them the right to behave how they do.

I am no fan of Beckham, but he is a fantastic role model and professional, sad there are not more who behave like him.

You know, that almost borders on a Racist slur. Maybe you'd just like to call him Rafa Benetiz or your Spanish Manager."

So does that mean we can't call frank lampard by his nickname 'fat frank'?

Good grief

Hence forth we on forum must not refer to any well known persons by their nicknames, but by mr/mrs/sir etc!!

"In my opinion JT is pond life.

I noticed this, but it was actually 4 goalies.

There was cech, hilario, turnbull and another goalie I never caught the eye of

Plus I even heard that Ba walked up and collected a medal, when he never played for chelsea at all in the comp, cause he was cup tied

What a laughing stock.

Errrrr wrong.

1 - Luis wore a top with ' I belong to god' on

2 - hazard collected a medal and was in a suit

3 - ffs even Ba (also in a suit) collected a medal even tho he was cup tied

First point - Roy keane stayed away when united won the Champions League in 99

Second point, its actually regression holding both. It's only possible to hold both, by winning the CL one year, and then being knocked out the following year into the Europa league, and winning the Europa league.

It's not progress, your actually regressing.

So its hardly something to scream about.

"Samandjamie you really ought to do some research into his past before you praise him. He is utterly morally bankrupt. Racist, cheating, aldultering (which caused a suicide), probably sexist, arrogant twat of the highest order. Then research his family members. They're all the same.

Now he's piggybacking others' successes"
