If you are asking me as a lady, I d say a meet over a coffee or a glass of wine to see if there is any chemistry and if we can have some good conversation. Let's face it if I cannot laugh with somebody, chat with that person, enjoy their company at that level... there is no cat in hell's chance of my wanting to become intimate with them.   |

There has to be some connection to start with. Couldn't ever go to bed with someone who has no personality!

I had the perfect first and second meet. First was coffee in a local Costa. We just talked, well I talked a lot and he was polite. We didn't even kiss as head a cold and didn't want to pass it on.
Then we met at a lovely hotel where he bought dinner and we chatted some more before luring me to his massive bed and having his wicked way with me 
Oddly that was the only social meet before a play meet I have ever done. |

I am not sure whether a proper statistic would really help the OP - I think most ladies would prefer some kind of communication prior to playtimes. The scope of this communication may well vary. For me it would be kind of non negotioable - others might differ. |
