...to a kitchen party.

Apparently it's an African tradition before a marriage.

Does anybody have any experience of these? I'm really looking forward to it but would like to know what to expect.

It’s quite an honour for someone outside the bride’s nationality to be invited to her kitchen party….

They're usually where the brides familiy and friends (female only) gather together to celebrate what she can expect in her newly wedded life, rather than just being an excuss for a huge piss-up like hen nights or bachelorette parties can become…

If your taking a gift its appropriate to give kitchenware…

Thank you for that.

She doesn't want kitchenware (even tho it's appropriate) but money or vouchers.

Have you ever been to one?
