"Being the best I can be as often as I can.....I never strive for always, it is an unrealistic expectation...Wow, that is such a cool summmary - I really really like that! "
I don't think it is a bad philosophy... |

I don't think it is a bad philosophy..." You know what I really like a bout it? It is the implied taking responsibility for oneself, for one's actions and the positive aspiration to do something good. |

Self ...Putting me first may seem selfish. But it’s not. To get the right life balance we need to be our best. If not, our relationships are likely strained, our health neglected and our performance below par. If we can’t take care of ourselves how can we take care of anyone else?
When I’m busy and neglect my health I’m more likely to be sick. I’m no use to my family . If I don’t get sufficient sleep, I get grumpy And take it out on everyone ..
And The single most important thing in my life is my family. I draw strength from those I love. They are the ones that share my triumphs and successes. When things don’t work out they are there to pick up the pieces. And my animals are my priority too .. As I owe it to them to give them the very best . |

That is such a good point, Jo - you are absolutely right that if you are not right in whatever sense of the word, you cannot be of much hlpe and support to others. I think as mums we sometimes forget that when putting our families first! |

To continue taking myself as seriously as I presently do. To sample as much cake as humanly possible. To actually take a proper holiday this year. To get outside and grab some lunch whilst the sun is shining! |

..actually my immediate priority is to discover where my confidence went to - it seems to have slipped out of my grasp while I wasn't looking - my own fault for trying to be clever with a camera. |

To try to give myself more credit than I do.I think I give myself unrealistic ideas of how well I am doing in life(for example with my kids),really being hard on myself when those around me keep telling me I am doing so well, how they don't know how I deal with it on my own...my kids are healthy, happy and well mannered(in public anyway...LOL) and that is down to me...so yes, well done me...LOL |
