Honestly mate it has been fixed for years , the balkans all vote for each other as do most of the eastern europeans, the only votes we will get will be from Malta as they love us lol, Hope Bonnie does a good job though

If that was the case then Balkan countries would always win or would always been in the top 5, but if you look that is just not the case. Yes there is country favouritism, England also gives points to Ireland, but is unlike to give points to the French. In general though it all balances out. You never see the same countries getting in the top 5 over and again ..

"I'd rather sit on an ant hill and listen to the Archers. "

Funny little tale about The Archers.

I used to listen to The Archers in the 1990's as I was driving home from work each night, and somehow got really hooked into the storyline.

However, because it was The Archers I tended to keep it a secret between me and the car radio. A few years later, after Gulf War 1, I was reading Bravo Two Zero about the SAS patrol in Iraq. In it, Andy McNabb describes arriving in Saudi Arabia and going into a hanger saying that he knew he was in the right place as the sound of lads listening to The Archers hung in the air.

Whats good enough for The SAS was good enough for me and I came out of The Archers closet....lol

Mind you, you can keep the sitting on an ants nest to yourself...

after our entry last year..that was pure awful..and enough to put anyone into a deep depression..well they really tried with this years entry..Not!

the song is awful.. watched it sung on graham norton other week...and i actualy felt embarrased just watching the performance...i just felt the song had no Umph and bonnie tyler...well was like she struggled with the song.

After last year i would of thought they would of come up with something better.

I have to admit there was some good songs that did not get though. Even more surprising none of the former Yugoslavian that were represented got though .. (well that is one in the eye to the conspirtists)

Apparently, the Beeb contributed approximately £310,000 towards the cost of hosting last years Eurovision competition…

That’s works out at just over £44,250 per hour for prime time TV,,, Whereas it spent 22 million pounds airing the Voice….

This years Eurovision is being done on a shoestring compared to previous years, but it still provides a welcome excuse to celebrate cultural diversity in a way the brings people together to have fun,……

Part of that should involve being able to laugh at ourselves and our fellow entrants…

Long-live Eurovision.......;-)

This is often said, but the facts prove otherwise.

If this was the case then the same countries would win or be in the top 5 all of the time, but they are not.

Countries do vote for each other, like UK vote for Ireland and not very often for France. But because it happens with lots of countries it balances out.

I mean you would expect for former Yugoslavian countries to all vote for each other, but in this years semi-finals known of them got though !
