See I class myself as alternative as I have half the hair on my head shaved and I guess I dress the part as well but I have no tattoos and only my ears pierced. People who meet me are always surprised that I don't have any as apparently I look like I should.
I don't class myself as any less alternative due to my lack of body art.
So yes I am alternative but not by the same definition as you describe.

I don't have tattoos but I do have piercings. I don't really put myself into any category, I am who I am. I listen to classic rock, metal etc I watch f1, I go to gigs and the theatre. I'm just me, love me or hate me I'm not too bothered. |

Mrs Fox is alternative in that she is not every ones cup of tea. She dresses differently (fashion is from the 50s in her view) she does have a tattoo but no piercings. She's not blonde and she's not stick thin.
She does have attitude. Lots of attitude.
She's also not 22. I don't really care that she's not everyones cup of tea.
She is my cup of tea.
