Charlie and the chocolate factory in the theatre...You can't beat Roald Dashl books...
Did you have a favourite book?
My second one was Danny the champion of the world oh and Boy it reminds me of my childhood and dad reading to me..
I am so going to see Charlie and the chocolate factory though.. |

Danny the champion of the world was my fave..... My fave film was, and still is chatty chatty bang bang.... Thanks to my youngest..... Got treated a few years back by the make a wish foundation to go see it in the west end when Paul o'grady played the child catcher lol |

My favourite book it Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt (and the follow-up 'Tis)
Currently I'm reading The Girl With Her Picture In The Paper by Graeme Tollins. Fantastic book by a great author. Although I'm a little biased as I've known him for quite a while...lol |

Definitely better but I think much of that had to do with the fact it dealt with the hardship of children, child mortality and an alcoholic father who abandoned them. It was less easy to feel sorry for him as an adult... |

George's Marvellous Medicine and the BFG were my favorite Dahl books.
We had the animated BFG film on VHS and I remember watching it on Sunday evenings after the dreaded "school in the morning" bath, all sat on the floor gazing up at the monstrous 14" portable that was our family TV |

I guess so i felt the same with the Dave Pelzar books the 2nd two didn't touch me like the first one. |
