To borrow a joke from Futurama
'Human history has all been an attempt to impress the opposite sex'
Much of what it means to be human is the struggle to prove yourself worthy of your ideal mate - women are born with power (to create new life), men have to earn it (show that they are worthy of being part of that creation), which is why the 'Mans mans mans world' lyrics are actually very apt.:
'This is a mans world, but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing, without a woman or a girl'
There's no point is building a civilisation if you've no one to do it for. |

I hold doors open for men and women, and they hold doors open for me, its a general respect thing, not a sexual one. I only get annoyed when there's no acknowledgement of the courtesy (fortunately very rare though). |
