A feature wall is a good place to start. If its just a flat its easy...

"mrwho.. ive bought loads of colour co ordinated stuff but never been brave enough to wallpaper or paint."

Painting is straight forward, just invest in good quality brushes and rollers (I favour Harris microfiber rollers as they don't splatter and clean up easily).

Papering is a little more involved but still fairly straight forward (corners etc require practice) good quality scissors, brushes and Stanley knife blades will help no end.

I actually enjoy wallpapering, not so keen on painting...

Glossing bores me plus the smell gives me a headache. I don't mind the quick drying water based gloss/satin paint though. It smells a bit like chocolate and cleans easily. Shame its not hard wearing...

Here!

I like to do things like that. In the winter when I am defrosting my car I sometimes do the neighbours as well. And when you have the lawnmower out it only takes an extra twenty minutes to do next doors.

I believe in what goes around comes around andit works for me x

I beg to differ!! I'm in the middle of decorating my flat and it's a long drawn out process. Especially trying to do it with a two year old running round x
