Do all of my vehicles wait until about a month after I've spent hundreds of pounds on them before spectacularly falling apart like a clown car in a big pile of dust? Grrrrr!!!!!!! |

More than likely because I'm terrible at looking after them. But ironically still get emotionally attached to them. Head gaskets gone so hardly worth repairing at garage costs and I'm useless at mechanics |

Independent local mechanics are always much less expensive than you'd expect, and typically charge £25 an hour plus VAT. Your job shouldn't actually cost more than a couple of hundred pounds. If the car is a complete nail, it may well not be worth doing even at that price level. |

I've been told by a mate to chuck in a load of k-seal and give it a go. So for a tenner a go I'll try it out |

Are you 100% sure it's hgf as people always say its that on certain cars. If your 100% sure it is it can be cheap to fix or expensive depends on the damage that's been caused by it. If its a cheap banger and sure it's hgf could chuck a sealer in. Might work might not I know someone that used one and lasted 4 weeks before failing again |

I feel your pain. Last October my 15 year old Mazda Bongo flew through it's MOT without even an advisory. I said at the time that it wasn't right, and that something bad was about to happen. I was scolded for being paranoid and told that occasionally these things happen.
4 weeks later the head gasket went.
Karma is a bitch.
