I found kik a bit slow. Whatsapp for me is better

It all depends on how many contacts you have on each system. Assuming the same, then Whatsapp requires you to know a user's phone number, whereas kik is purely username.

I only use whatsapp but not for people off (bar a few) here only friends and family.

Although half a dozen people off the site have my number I think only one lovely lady uses to chat with me. The others text x
