Judgemental....
Jump to: Newest in thread
I see written on here a lot that people wouldn't expect swingers to be judgmental. Now although they may be right when it comes to NSA sex (although I still see things on here that make me say OMG) surely that doesn't mean they won't be judgemental about other aspects of life??
So..... Are you judgemental?? I bet we all are about some things wether we like it or not.... |

I try not to be... I normally live by the fact that your morals are your morals, and who am I to judge. But there's been things I've seen and it's been really hard for me to get my head around. |

I've always been brought up to think live and let live, however there are things posted that I also think omg. Lol |

I think most people can be judgmental, although most won't admit to it.

I’m the main, I enjoy hearing other people’s views and opinions without offering direct criticism even if I inwardly judge their stance to be inconsistent with my own take on things….!. |

Miss HottieBottie, this is an excellent question.
Sometimes I wish that before opening their mouth to point out someone else's flaws, people would take a hard long look at themselves and make sure they are perfect first.
I am human and therefore I am flawed. I am as guilty as others of being judgmental but I know that I am and I know who I am, which means that I think before I speak/write.
My Grand'Ma used to say....turn your tongue 10 times in your mouth before speaking...she was a wise old lady! |

we all judge in some way, it just depends on how we act upon that judgement.
We can chose to live side by side in harmony or we can chose to bitch and snipe about those we dont like |

Read this and had images of us all arm in arm on a giant piano keyboard !!
Damn you Paul Mcartney and Stevie Wonder!!
Anyway - I think we're all judgemental. Would be worrying if we weren't. It's not always a negative thing either and is often healthy in that it distinguishes us from those who quite frankly just don't give a shit about anything, and who will contradict their own words and actions and act in an arse kissing, hypocritical way just to get the end result they seek!
Not that I'm being judgemental about anyone - obviously!! |

We are all judgemental to a degree because we judge others by our own standards, morals and ethics.
i think the difference comes with how we deal with other peoples beliefs.
i am stubborn and have a firm set of beliefs i live and abide by. If someone chose not to live by them, i am in no position to say they are wrong or should change because their upbringing and current circumstances are different to mine |

There is a huge about of confusion between being judgemental and tolerant of others. In reality everyone makes judgement calls on others and forms an opinion on people I do myself however what swingers should be is repectful and tolerant of others as they ideally would like the outside world to be repectfull and tolerant of those of us who chose the swinging lifestyle. |

But sometimes pointing out someone's harmful attitude is important. I've held some stupid opinions in my life and been grateful (eventually!) that people called me on them.
You don't need to be perfect to point out someone's flaws; just doing it for a good reason. |

It is when judgmental leads to labeling. i.e you swing?(the judgment) you pervert (the label)
Thats my issue. |
