Over the years I've put a lot more detail on our profile but I've come to think that most people don't read it anyway. I personally find long profiles boring anyway and if they go on like war and peace I just close them.
I think profiles are a quick overview of you. If people like what they see you can fill them in on anything else. There's always dialogue before meets after all. |

Mines is just "me" i guess and although i might do odd tweek up - it basically remains same
i think profiles should try and reflect a positive image about the real you as after all your looking to meet and telling loads of lies will soon be found out

It's terrible Steve! Not enough Star Wars references for starters!! Who's gonna cut and paste and nick that! 
To the OP - we all have moments when we think "Am I saying enough to interest others?" in terms of messages, forum posts and our own profiles.
The joy of the site is that it's ever changing - fluid - and at any point you can update your profile content, interests, status updates, pics, change your message style and forum posts - pretend to be someone completely different for a while should you choose!
It's a virtual interaction. You therefore have the ability to act in any way you choose - without the fear of someone sat opposite you either yawning, laughing - or thinking "OMG! What have I let myself in for here!!!" 
*at least until the first meet!  |

I kinda guess the only measure of a truly effective profile is one which only attracts the attention of suitable partners…….

I keep adding bits when I get messages from guys who arent my type or moving info around so its clear what Im after. Maybe my self-explanatory profile is not great but I think gives good info |
