Apparently the way to stop yourself slipping on the ice is to wear wool socks over your footwear!

Did that when we were kids and lived in a village and had to walk 2 miles to school down the lanes............

Then last weekend saw a women walking down the street with funny looking black footwear! realised it was socks over her shoes......... first time I'd seen it in years!!

The sock thing could get quite expensive in a prolonged cold snap. I just stay in.

it does work i done it at wk end 5 inch heels through the snow no problem!! my friend had flat boots on and skidded like bambi!!! heels rule!!! xx
