The original Star Wars , I was 8 years old and we waited all of the six week summer holidays for my mom to take me and my brother see it. The summer was glorious that year and we spent all our pocket money on the sticker book and sticker packs with the rock hard chewing gum inside the packet.
The euphoria surrounding the film was massive and we went home happy little boys.
Magical times from a long hot summer such fond memories. |

"never watched watership down.. everyone says its sad and they cry."
I can't bear to watch it anymore, even the song Bright Eyes turns me into a blubbering wreck. It was on tv as my grandfather was passing. He was my hero, his life was worthy of legend and the film reminds me of one of my saddest moments... |

"Transformers the Movie!
And, though it shames me to admit it, the Care Bears movie :D"
If you were a child in the 80's ya LOVED Care Bears. So, no shame could have been worse, could have been My Little Pony.
Adding to my list
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Princess Bride
Neverending Story
Flight of the Navigator
Mac and Me (gotta love the product placement in that movie)
Uncle Buck
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Teen Wolf
Bill and Ted
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Big
King Kong
Addams Family
Gorillas in the Mist
My Girl
Spaceballs

I can remember being off school and watching "The African Queen " on our old black and white telly in the 70's ... that left a big impression ... Murphy's War with Peter O'Toole and Zulu ... all of which are a bit odd as I hate war films |
