witches... was a film made from roald dahls book. pretty scary stuff when i was little

The original Star Wars , I was 8 years old and we waited all of the six week summer holidays for my mom to take me and my brother see it. The summer was glorious that year and we spent all our pocket money on the sticker book and sticker packs with the rock hard chewing gum inside the packet.

The euphoria surrounding the film was massive and we went home happy little boys.

Magical times from a long hot summer such fond memories.

I can't bear to watch it anymore, even the song Bright Eyes turns me into a blubbering wreck. It was on tv as my grandfather was passing. He was my hero, his life was worthy of legend and the film reminds me of one of my saddest moments...

just watching with my 3yr old 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' (the original) and ive never noticed before that when they travel down the chocolate river they decapitate a chicken as part of the scary scences..

freaked me out and im 25,, she didnt bat an eyelid.
