Who said romance was dead?!!

So during a phone call with my daughter earlier, she said she was off to Paris at the end of the month.
My daughter is a newly wed, so I said "aaaah, Paris in the springtime, how romantic." She said "I hope Rafa thinks so." I was confused as that's not her husbands name, then it dawned on me: Rafa Nadal, she's off to the French Open. She couldn't go last year because of the wedding, but this year she and her friends have rented an apartment in Paris for the Open.
All she says is "I heart Rafa!" 30 going 13!
So forumites, who would you "abandon" your loved one for?!!  |

Liverpool FC.
I was lucky enough to go to Istanbul for the 2005 final, the most expensive day trip I've ever done in my life, but worth every penny.
If I was ever in a full blown relationship again, I think it would definately have to be with either someone who supported Liverpool, or completely understood the concept of being a football (well a Liverpool) widow.... |

Reminds me of a conversation we had not so long ago:
Me: "How would you feel about a weekend in Paris?"
crystal: "I'm not going to watch the tour de france with you..."
Me: "I wasn't thinking for the Tour actually..."
crystal: "Nor to watch you in a marathon"
Am I that predictable? |

Lol, my husband offered to take me to Paris and I said I'm not going to Paris to watch a horse race, he thought I was psychic.

I'm not a tennis fan but she loves tennis, goes Wimbledon every year, this will be her first Open. |
