Ann Summer Laundry Warning

Just a little heads on a discovery we have made.

Recently we bought an Ann Summer "Britney" dress. Wore it once, and washed as per the label (40). Then the elastic all went funny. Took it back and the first reaction was to show the DIFFERENT laundry instructions on the box. ie Hand wash only.

We got the replacement we wanted by mentioning Sale of Goods Act and. is labelling!

As we were leaving the manager said everything they stock should be hand washed!

Good reason to think twice buying in there?

Hope you've emailed Ann Summers Head Office with this. If not, I will be happy to deliver it personally as I (almost) drive past it on the way to Gatwick almost every day!

Could mention it to your local trading standards who have the authority to make them make sure all their labelling is correct

Wonders of modern technology. We won't need showers soon. Just sit on the washing machine

I find Ann Summers stuff not a particularly good quality - it looks ok but falls apart - and I dont do hand washes

Would never buy anything from them. There is far better quality stuff available on the internet - especially Ebay, alright it comes from China and the likes, but in our experience it is much cheaper than Ann Summers and the quality so far has been far superior. The stuff we've seen from Ann Summers has always appeared to be flimsy and of very poor quality - you're paying for a name
