When we ran our club nights , we really wanted to do a rave ! Being an ex semi pro DJ i remember well the days of raving etc and still think a swingers rave would be awesome !!!
If anyone would be interested in doing this we would love to be involved !

Last time i did this was about a year ago went to see some djs in manc for my bd last year....and god i suffered on the sun...staying awake from a friday morning to a sunday night is well behind me....and that used to be every weekend. |

I was going to go there, but went the weekend before to an Elixir of Life party, and had a really bad experience with the door staff, so refused to step foot in The Coronet again.
Except for Toture Garden parties, but that's because they have their own door team. |

I am gutted to have missed it. But the previous week I had a security man stick his hands in my bra 'looking' for drugs. Then when I told him he wasn't allowed to do that, he told me to fuck off.
A friend was also hand-cuffed by a 'drugs paramedic' and left in a room alone whilst still handcuffed. She's persuing legal action. |

We still have the odd blowout, reunions etc. Used to go to many clubs bitd. Lakota,Shelleys,Entropy,Legends,Progress,Hacienda,Back to Basics,Renaissance,Vague,Venus,Kool Kat, to name a few.
I still dip my hand in occasionally working in event supervision for festivals and a biiiig club in Manchester.
If you do something and it requires security i,ll provide decent lads.
I,m horrified you were manhandled whilst being searched, a female sia member of security should where possible pat you down, searching pockets is the most we can do, what he did was illegal - you have to get the persons consent to do it or you are breaking the law. I,d have had him arrested ! Sted headed prick. They give us decent lads a bad name |

The money men killed the rave scene. Maggies criminal justice bill of 1994 put an end to massive outdoor events.
Seen it go full circle. From thousands raving in a field pigs killed it and we saw the superclubs like cream Liverpool etc take over. Now its such a business model its back to 20 thousand in a field such as creamfields gatecrasher etc. Difference is it'll now cost you 100 quid and the drugs are shit! |

Mines is 11 and I still can't do it. Maybe cause I'm a single parent. But there's no way I can do an all nighter. I need my sleep more than ever now. I'm bad enough with a girls night out and a hangover takes 2 days to get over. Gone are the days of partying all night and showering and going straight to work with no sleep. |

I still go raving whenever i get the chance, but that isn't very often anymore.
Tried sankeys in Manchester last year when they had a old school rave night and was disappointed with all the Jeremy Kyle subjects that were there lol.
I did all the big ones too, Dreamscape, helter skelter, fantasia, rezz, hardcore haven. A favourite of mine was always club kinetic in stoke.

We used to do pleasure dome and a few other local venues before the kids arrived. Still love it all and pass all my tunes down to the nephew now.

Reach for the lasers...
Still go out now and then but it isn't really like it used to be.
some of the large outdoor festivals that go on are still pretty good... can still catch some of the original DJ's like Slipmatt, Ratpack etc at old skool events |
