This morning I got talking to someone in costa. They asked if I thought life would have played out the way it has for me. It got me thinking about things. I always wanted a big family living in the country with time to enjoy.
So I have one child live near a town and always seem to be on the go.
So the question is has your life panned out the way you hoped and if not are you going to change |

This person in Costa got very deep very quickly with you bro! I can't help but think one of you was overly familiar for your first conversation together.
As for your question, life rarely turns out the way we plan. That would be boring plus, I like surprises. However there are certain regrets, my plan to rule the world and vanquish France has stalled somewhat and I still can't fly. (I have learned to jump quite high though). |

No, mine hasn't, circumstances change on a daily basis for everyone. People say "If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail", well all I can say is if you don't make any plans, then they can't fail
Just go with the flow Joe |

divorced so that didn't turn out as expected.
3 children - expected.
Issues that come with 3 children - generally expected but sometimes SERIOUSLY unexpected.
work - degree led professional job so current position expected.
work - running own company in the near future is (or will be) an unexpected turn.
Move to Lytham shortly, again is (or will be) an unexpected turn.
In summary, glad to say that life is still throwing up unexpected turns for me and long may that continue |

I think we all feel at times that life could be better, but in most cases you reap what you sow. I have known people who have had a tough time growing up, but have made the best of things and done well. Also know others that seem to
Think life owes them something. |

Honestly no, not at all.
I figure as I age things will even out and once retired maybe then.
I'm not to worried though as I think just living with what you have, when you have it and being grateful for it, is much healthier than wishing for something different. |

When ever I try to strike up conversations with strangers, they just smile uncomfortably and change seats. Mind it's usually with women and I stare at their chests a lot. I might get a dog. |

I did not really think about what I was expecting from life - I suppose I took it for granted that I would have a good job, a family and kids along the lines, be healthy and generally have a good quality of life. In that much, yes life has panned out albeit without much planning on my part.
These days I am kind of open to all sorts of changes - it is what makes life interesting. |

If I knew how many people talk to you when you have a guide dog I would have gone blind years ago. |

An event last year turned our lives upside down and inside out!
We are now living somewhere which we both don't like very much!
But it's not the end of our world at all!
Life is what you make out of it!! |

Lifes been very good to me, if any of it was planned I didnt consciously plan it, ive taken paths which have taken me to where I am and made me what I am, I tend to fall into things rather than go for them, the only thing I can honestly say I went balls out for was Donna, but then fate delt the ace card there if truth be known, im one of them blokes that if fell in shite id come up smelling of roses |

Difficult to say really, I don't think I would change any of the chosen paths of I had the choice to go back, as for the future I like surprises and a move down under is a strong possibility |

Having been divorced and having a LTR with the love of my life which ended BADLY, life very rarely goes the way it was planned
But I would not change my life for the world. I am in the best place I could be and have rediscovered what and who is important in my life... |

I believe that if I was the only one who was steering my life in the last 4+ decades then my life today would be as I intended it to be.
Unfortunately I like everyone else am not the only one who decides which direction their life will take, employers, family, friends and many other factors have played a part in getting me to the place I now am.
Its become a matter of playing the cards you were dealt instead of wondering what life would be if... |

It's the twists and turns, upsets and achievements that make life all the more interesting, isn't it..? If it all happened the way you planned it, i would find that very boring...
And, no, mine has not been anything like I expected it to be when I was, say, 18 and looking forward 30+ years. Not a bit like it... |

My life is way better than I would of even dared to hope for when I was young .
I don't have much , but what I do have I treasure and , to be honest, it's just keeps on getting better. |

When life knocks you on your arse you just have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try to start fresh. I see it every day in my job.
I had to do it myself. Thought I was going career army, got wounded and discharged. I went and used my compensation to get my degrees and now life is good again.

Life hasn't gone how I thought... Wasted too much time with the wrong people in the wrong places.now debt free with a plan... The only thing I regret is no children... And every now and again I resent couples... But things don't change by themselves... You gave to use what opportunities you get... |

On balance some things haven't gone so well, only a hand of the things have exceeded my wildest expectations.
Now that I think about my plans are younger man just weren't ambitious enough. Sometimes you've got a step back from the detail and appreciate all that you have around you.
It's just better to grab the good stuff that's there and not hold on waiting for something that might not be |

My world had been turned upside downto the point I've been left with not much, I'm in a job I dislike, have no real friends around here and I don't get to go anywhere to meet any. This has all left me with no self esteem and no confidence. I'm a completely different person to what I was 18months ago.
So has my life panned out for me? Hell no.. Would I go back 18months? That is the question that I ask myself every morning. I believe in fate so I'm holding onto the fact that all this is happening for a reason and it will one day get better. Until then I guess I will plod on with a smile on my face like I do everyday.
Now I bet that's all made you really happy lol |

Well I for one think it is great that you smile. Life does have a way of throwing curve balls sometimes.
I always try and be positive, I try and help others whenever I can. You do have to try and love the life you have, it is just rather hard at times. |

Sort of until a couple of years ago, then there was a wobble and now back on an even keel....who knows which way the wind will blow? A bit of a bumpy ride at times but that's normal I guess. Generally speaking and all things being equal....sort of yes. I suppose. |

My life hasn't turned out how I wanted it either. So I'm damn well going to change it and make it how I want it. If I don't succeed, at least I will know I damn well tried.
...all it takes is the testicular fortitude to do it. |
