I am in my late 30s and I still suffer from spots on my upper back. Though I have to admit I have been very lucky and have never suffered from acne on my face
So does anyone else ever 25 have spot issues ? |

Yes, Im 42 and I still suffer from occasional outbreaks of acne - I know what causes mine and what the triggers are.
...However, if anyone asks, I suffer because my body is actually convinced its still 19.

Yes I am 35 and have more trouble with my skin now than when I was in my teens.
Usually find Panoxyl gel helps but can't seem to buy it at the moment for love nor money in any chemists near us.

Yes. I'm 37 and still suffer with persistent acne.
Currently I take 100mg of Minocycline daily as its the only medication I've found to be effective.
I also tried accutane, which is heralded as about the best treatment currently available (can only be prescribed by a dermatologist though so ask your GP for a referral), sadly I'm in the 1% of the population that had unwanted, dangerous side effects.
It's also important to get a correct diagnosis. Most people are diagnosed with acne vulgaris, mainly due to GP's not taking the condition seriously. Mine was correctly diagnosed when I was 34, as cystic acne, so treatment became more effective.
As for over the counter products. I've found that an aspirin face pack once a week really helps and for a daily cleanser I use L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic with charcoal, it totally removes the sebum (skin oil) which clogs pores and causes spots. |

I've been to the GP about mine and have cream and long term antibiotics. It's not acne I have but he doesn't know what it actually is. They really hurt, especially the ones on my face.
I have also changed my skincare routine and now using collagen based cleanser, toner and moisturiser and it has definitely made a world of difference for me |

Sounds like mine, which took years to diagnose correctly as cystic acne. As your GP for a referral to a dermatologist. They're the best people to see when it comes to acne, regular doctors aren't really interested... |

"Mine are mostly on my left arm and top of back now. The cream does help dry them up but i'm a forgetful sod! lol"
Drying them up is one thing but reducing sebum production and bacteria is the key to fighting spots effectively. I also get them on my arms and in my ears if I run out of my medication. |

I have a problem called "Sweets Syndrome" and it all stress related,
When i get very stressed i get what is like Chicken pox can be nasty, because they can grow to the size of a 5p piece, when it dries out it can go flaky and leave me with terrible scars, this can hit any part of my body and i do have to have medication and creams for it.
Since i have started swinging it did rock my confidence and even now i will not be naked in front of just anyone.
I have been given Camouflage cream to boast my confidence and it does help.
When it gets worse i take steriods for weeks at a time. This syndrome also affects my blood count both white and red and the vampires at the hospital see me at least twice every month just to much sure that i stay away from "Leukemia"
So spotty dotty or not is all part of your make up.
So adorn your high heels and suits and go and have some fun, because that is what we are all here for !! |

Our Son suffered with acne, and was put on a course of tablets, but what he failed to tell us, was that while on the course he would need regular blood checks, was not till he went back complaining of severe pains in his joints, he was sent for checks at the hospital, that's when we found out about the blood tests the doc failed to take and the specialist told us he was suffering with Lupus and had it been left untreated could have caused all sorts of problems with vital organs, luckily it was caught early and made a full recovery |
